A successful interview usually begins with careful preparation:

find out at much as you can about the firm: its history, business, values and projects,
if you have any former school friends working for the firm, don't hesitate to contact them,
list your experience to show that you are making an informed decision about joining the firm,
compare your own values with those of the firm,
prepare some questions to ask the person(s) interviewing you,
prepare answers to the standard interview questions.
